I sure hope you all made it through the holidays with flying colors! With our busy lives and ever growing duties in life I know how stressful it can be at times, esp. if you have children! I unfortunately have not been blessed with children, but I can make that comment because I do have many in my life through my large family, and through friends too! I get to see and even be involved in the busyness of not only the children's lives, but the parents as well. The main children in my life right now are my two adorable niece's, two handsome nephews (yeah I better not call them adorable) and my BFF's two adorable boys (I can call them adorable because they are still wee ones)...but they get so busy with after school activities and such it's a crazy mess sometimes! Add the parents activities to the mix and wow is all I can say! Crazy times! I do have to say though that us singles (meaning no children) can and do have just as stressful and busy lives! It's just a different mix of things, and well, crazy times here too!
So let's start the new year off right and make a resolution to take time out, time for ourselves. It really is true what they say, "if you can't take care of yourself, you can't take care of anyone else either." And really, when you take time out for yourself you are teaching others (esp. the children) that it's ok to have down time, it's ok to just want to relax and let everything go for awhile, "it is ok" to take care of yourself. So I hope this year, and every year after, you will do just that! I also hope that you, both with and without children, will reserve "family time" as well...so important not to lose site of each other. Family time really helps to keep everyone grounded and rooted in what life really is about. We can't have heritage if we don't spend time making it! Right?
